Art Exhibition – A View Of Andalucia
A VIEW OF ANDALUCIA
An Exhibition of Work by José Alarcón
1st – 31st October
Naïve art has bold use of colour, awkward relationships between the components of the picture and is the work an untrained artist. José Alarcón is such an artist and his show of naïve painting in the Riogordo Galería is very affordable and collectable. A son of Riogordo he works with oil paint and also enjoys painting on other surfaces. His love of vivid colours and the patterns of the Andalucian campo form the inspiration for his works.
“My painting is my hobby. I try to capture the beauty and the simplicity of the rural life here in Andalucia. The people are my friends and my inspiration. I work with oil paint on board but also I enjoy painting on other surfaces, like the roof tiles. I love the brilliant colours of the flowers and the patterns of the fields.”
