Dianne has had a paint brush in her hand since the age of 5 she says. Her enthusiasm for her art is very evident in her strong use of colour, brush work and the wide variety of mediums.

A long standing member of the Art Society of Traditional Painters in the UK, she came to Spain 5 years ago via North Wales and Dubai. While in Dubai she taught art and pottery to the children of the Royal Family.

“I am captivated by the Andalusian landscape and the intensity of the light and shade,” she said, ” the sunlight and shadows constantly fuel my inspiration.”

For her work she uses oil, watercolour, pastels and acrylics and it encompasses landscapes, flowers, houses. Recently she has added silk painting to her repertoire and has silk cushions and silk paintings on display.

“She is a superb artist with a very strong sense of colour” said gallery owner Ken Church, “and with 25 items on display from small pictures to large canvases this is a very good exhibition to visit.”
