PRESS RELEASE

January 9, 2012

New Series of Business Seminars on the Costa to Help Entrepreneurs Boost Their Business

Starting January 26, Sparkers introduces their brand, SparkYourBusiness seminars at the Mainake Hotel in Torre del Mar. SparkYourBusiness seminars currently consists of a series of four seminars to teach business owners how they can become more successful. The first series of half-day seminars are about

Positioning your Business, Personal Branding, Finding and Reaching your Customers, and Social Media in your Business.

SparkYourBusiness seminars target foreign business owners on the Costa del Sol. Many business owners have made a business out of their passion, but have no formal training or experience in business or marketing strategy and execution. This knowhow is an important source of competitive power, not just when times are economically difficult, but also for the long term.

Practical focus
The half-day – English spoken – seminars are packed with information and have a practical focus. Each attendee will leave the seminar with a thorough background on the topic and a DIY step-by-step information kit. Participation in the seminar grants access to the Sparkers client group on LinkedIn. In this group, follow up questions can be asked – and will be answered – and members can network with each other.
The seminars can be taken as a sequential series. Either start with Positioning your Business or Personal Branding. The latter is for 1-person businesses that are selling themselves and their talents, such as artists, writers, plumbers, freelancers of any kind, or coaches for example. The other seminars – Finding and Reaching your Customers and Social Media in your Business – are logical sequels to the first two.

Speaker
The featured speaker is Pepita Bos, an experienced strategy consultant and educator. She consulted with large multinationals, small organizations, and entrepreneurs. Pepita has degrees in Business Administration, International Management, and Strategic Marketing Management and taught part-time at The Hague University. She recently moved to the town of Comares from The Netherlands to build a life here. Her passion is sharing her knowledge and helping businesses and professionals become more successful.

About Sparkers

Learning A New Language

By ‘MARICH’ Language School
www.academiamarich.com

Learning a new language is not as difficult as you might think. Many of you are more familiar with the more traditional methods involving the constant process of patiently putting the puzzle of that language together step by step. Actually, it can be quite simple if you follow the suggested tips below.

One cannot over emphasise how important it is to learn a new language and the positive impact it can have on one’s brain and on one’s life in general. The brain is an amazing organ and we still do not know how powerful it can be, once driven by the will and interest to learn something new. With such willpower and drive, the brain can do the unimaginable to make many things possible, including learning a new language.

Here are some tips on the best attitude to adopt during the language learning process:

-Be open-minded and have a keen interest and willingness always to learn something new.

-Do not try to learn grammar in the beginning.

-Instead, learn sentences and not just words.  This will actually allow you to speak and communicate in a shorter period of time.

-Focus on consciously listening to simple Spanish sentences and do so in a relaxed manner.

-Constantly repeat sentences in order to fix or retain them in your long-term memory.

-Consider that when speaking a new language, you are making a genuine effort to communicate something that is worthwhile rather than thinking of appearing foolish or stupid when making mistakes.

-Be bold! Be communicative! Remember: perfectionism never works!

-Accept the new language by getting fully involved in it.  You are now bilingual. You can do it!  Remember, everything is about your attitude!

-Sure enough, you will realise that you can speak better than you thought you could!

-Good luck!!
